WG really need to stop adding too OP tanks

Дата: 24.03.2016 12:59:25
Ectar: Any tank to a certain extent can be considered OP in the hands of a good player. Whilst you have listed certain vehicles as being powerful, they were also released at the same time as other vehicles that are not viewed as being powerful. Adding new content is never an easy balance, especially when everyone categorizes vehicles in lists of good to bad.   Make a vehicle too good, people complain that XYZ is no longer the best tank Make a vehicle middle group, people just say to get ABC as it's better Make a vehicle a low performer, everyone wants it to be buffed.   The sweet spot could be arguable somewhere between the middle and top, but then do you really want each new vehicle to never shift a certain other vehicle off the top spot?   The E5 has been around for a fairly long while now, at tier 10 the IS-7 is very strong as is the Fv215b, T57-Heavy, IS-4, E-100, AMX-50b  Any tier 10 heavy is strong and they each have their strengths and weaknesses.  FV215b (183) is only good if you can get that shot off and you prey to RNG for the pen.  It's a tank most people shoot gold in and you don't play for profit. You play to wreck people. You either have to play good to support the cost of running the tank or you buy gold to keep the premium rounds (and likely repair costs) running. JagdPanzer E100 is strong frontally but the minute that thing is tracked or flanked it's toast. The obvious way to tackle it is not to go at it head on where it's strongest..... E3 is the same as above.  Track it, get round it, job done.  Ofc both tanks will shoot you from range. That's their job.  It's your job to not roll up to them that way.  You can't really be mad at a TD doing what a TD's supposed to do. SU-122-44 I've only ever seen played good by a good player.  As a non turreted TD it suffers the same trouble as the 2 above and can be tackled the same way.  SU-100Y usually is focused as soon as it's spotted. Box tank is a box and makes a great target. It's also not very agile or fast. Czech tanks are good with skilled players. Mediocre with average players. They are not good at long range as the accuracy isn't really there, nor is the penetration. They're good for finishing off tanks or being able to unload on a distracted enemy but at longer ranges will lose out to mediums like the Action X, E50M or STB-1.  Also anything that hits them pens unless it's a badly aimed turret shot.   The are strong tanks at all tiers in all classes. If every tank had a fair chance and had similar characteristics it would make for a boring game. Complaining that 1 tank is strong when hull down is a bit redundant as almost every other tank in that class will also be strong hull down because it's a common tactic to protect a tank!  That's not a bad thing, that's someone playing smart and it's someone you don't try to trade shots with. You need to also be smart and pull back or move round (or ask for arty support). It makes no sense to try and face off in a situation where you know the other player is clearly in the advantage.    TL: DR - Any tank that kills you is OP and unfair. Whilst there may be new strong tanks introduced, there are just as many older tanks that are still out there wrecking and taking names.  The high alpha tanks hurt, but they are very unforgiving if you play them badly.
