GodTank2, on 27 July 2021 - 12:46 PM, said: This is translated from russian so there are some mistakes here and
there. These answers were given by WG developers and
designers of the project in response to the supertesters questions.

The reason why there is no ability to reset a skill
for Instructors because of a feature that they did not have time to
finish. If they tried to make the feature before this
iteration of the Sandbox, then the sandbox would be launched
later. The feature is being completed and most likely released
later. How exactly the feature will look like has not yet been
said. Yes this is true, but as said in a later answer, the feature
will be refined and completed later if implemented.
Instructors are such a resource that should be in short supply,
which is why the skill reset feature may not even be released on
the basis of. The developers do not want many to have many
instructors at the start of Crew 2.0. This is true as well, expect
the part about not being sure about making the reset feature. As
mentioned in the previous question, if we decide to release Cerw
2.0 we will definitely make it, just not sure if it will be ready
for release or later. If the player has the ability to
transfer Unique Instructors wherever you want, even within the same
nation, this reduces the need for Unique Instructors as such. True
as well. More details in the next question The instructors
were created as a patch to prevent unique crew members from going
missing. But at the same time, they are created as a
monetization component. Instructors will also continue to be
distributed for: Battle Pass, LBZ and as part of packages with
tanks. Those in all the same ways as we got a unique crew
earlier. That is partially true but not the only reason.
Instructors are also meant to create additional value around unique
crew members. According to the developers, skins for the
crew will become more valuable. True The number of dislikes
on the video is NOT an indicator of how much the players dislike
Crew 2.0. All decisions are made ONLY on the basis of Polls
after the players themselves test the mode on the
Sandbox. Also according to the opinions on the forum and at
the moment they are generally POSITIVE ( RU Forums ) . Most of
the players disliked without even testing the new
changes. Practice has shown that those players who liked the
changes do not write anything at all. Dislikes on videos are an
indicator there no arguing about that but it just not the main one.
We use many different sources for our feedback as we always say and
the most important one is indeed the in-game surveys because we
know that the player can provide more accurate feedback on the
feature. It is true that a significant amount of players say they
dislike even before testing. It is true that the people who
are satisfied are less vocal about it but that is true in general
and not specific to this feature or even WoT or even the video
games industry. Just normal human behavior. The introduction
of a perk that reduces RNG +/- 25% was done as an experiment and
since the developers followed the lead of the
players. RNG in the game is good - the developer's opinion.
RNG is not always against you but turn in your favor as well and
keeps this randomness in our game. It can be a positive
experience so we have no plans to remove it completely. However we
recognize it's not always the case that's why for example we
removed it from the instructor skills. If after Crew 2.0 the
statistics for the artillery drops, they will make changes later.
We do want to maintain the current balance in the game and we do
want to make sure there will still be a role to play for SPG
players. Just like any feature, if crew 2.0 will go live, we will
keep monitoring the stats for all classes and make changes if
needed. There will be no special perks for artillery. True
Crew 2.0 will be further refined after release. As I said,
this is true IF we release it which has not been decided yet and
will only depend on the results. The developers will not
provide a converter for the crew. the conversion is
non-refundable. The reason for this is that the players will
simply spray all unnecessary crews into the textbooks and apply
only to the necessary crew. This is true but the conversion will
not happen on release (if we release it), it would happen only at
least a few months later Crew 2.0 is an unresolved
issue. It's easier to lose all of the drawn pictures than the
audience. But it (Crew 2.0) will simply be completed and
released anyway. It is true that our audience is much more
valuable to us than the work done there, we would prefer to scrap
the whole thing than losing our players. It is 100% NOT TRUE
that it has already been decided and we will release no matter
what, we never said that. Only results from the testing will decide
the outcome. The developers deliberately made it so that the
Instructors' glasses did not give the opportunity to open
Ulta. The reason is that when transferring instructors from
crew to crew, the points would not have been enough for
Ulta. Accordingly, to prevent this from happening, they
decided not to give the opportunity that the instructors' glasses
open Ulta. This is true, basically to avoid situations where skills
are lost when switching instructors If the developers gave
any ult from any branch, as soon as the player entered 30 points
into any skills, this would reduce the variability. True as well
The crew forgets old tanks because the game is a commercial
project and the company must earn money. Therefore, in order
to be able to train for other tanks of this nation, it is done for
a fee. That is kind of true but we also need to point out that with
the possibility to train a crew for up to 3 vehicles, on the long
run, we don't expect players to spend a significantly higher amount
than what they do with the current crew system overall.
Important! All crew members that you do not convert after
the release of Crew 2.0 based on, after a while they will all turn
into tutorials, no matter how much experience and perks these crew
members have. You either retrain the crew on specialization so as
not to lose them, or wait until they turn into textbooks. So there
was a solution for all your radio operators. That is true but as
stated above, that would not happen on release (if we release),
probably a few months later. There is still a chance that this
might change if/when we release but we definitely want to
compensate players somehow for the time invested in all their
crews. You can even see it in the sandbox client. But again, IF the
feature will go live, conversion methods will communicated in
advance to make sure everything goes evenly and smoothly
Dwigt: Hello everyone,
After reading the article and the thread, we reached out to our Crew 2.0 Product Manager, Lucas, our own French Keanu Reeves He was able to confirm and answer some of the info in the wotexpress article. We hope that those answers (in green) will be enough to clear any confusion or misconceptions around the feature or our development process. The survey should be available now on the live servers, make sure you forward us your feedback and help us make the right decision as Lucas said!Thank you and have a great evening folks!
