have, and it's not the HE spam... think if you look in this thread
you can find it mentioned at least 50 times. Can you
give us a figure of how much dmg HE does to let's say Special
(GOLD) at each tier in the game so we can see how much it is a
problem? give us some number and tell us Special ammo is a smaller
problem than HE spam when you make one shell more useless in
most case, players will have to pick something else and they have a
choice of two, one with slower traveling time and lower pen
(probably too low if they would have used HE) . or the one
with faster traveling time and higher pen (high enough to properly
pen). so, yes how dare he come to the conclusion, you chose a
small problem where players would be forced to use more money,
instead of tackling the bigger problem that might not directly
give you more money but keep the game alive. Dwigt: We're not ignoring anyone, but for now we have those proposed
changes. One does not eliminate the other
Unfortunately I don't have stats
and figures to share now but I don't can't assume that 90% of the
players suffer from the special ammo spam. The goal of this
sandbox is to try the changes without making the HE shell (or any
other feature) useless. I hope you tried it and saw how HE worked
on the sandbox!

remove from the avaiable prizes afaik. I'll try to confirm that as
soon as I can.

doesn't eliminate the HE spamming and how it's used to
now As a new player (speaking of myself) I'm learning how to hide
my tank weakspots, side scraping and I do like to play
heavies. Positioning is very important in WoT and it's not
easy to find the right spot to park your tank if you're playing
heavies. With the current HE mechanic, it's very hard to that.
Whenever a tiny part of your tank is exposed, and I'm not saying a
weak spot, the enemy tank can hit you with HE and do some damage,
damage your internal modules, perma track your tank while
you're just staring at the wall in front of you.I have a question. What is HE spamming you are talking about??? I mean, I have never noticed "HE spam" but gold spam I see in every game. If I drive a heavy tank I am actually fine with other players shooting HE at me - it means that they don't shot gold and do less damage.
Ofc, there are that rare situation at tier 10, when you are actually outmatching your opponent's prem rounds. And then you have some derp gun taking you apart. But, hey... those slow chunks of free HP should be good for something... for other 90% of situations they are totally losing to gold spam. And I suspect that whole HE rebalance came from this corner case, when some unicorns in t10 were not happy that a derp gun could touch their invincible CW-reward tonk. Also I've seen players asking "How can I flank in a KV-2 now to deal damage?" You don't, you let your team mates do the job. So, in other words - if you are driving KV-2 into the battle - you are not helping your team. 18:10 Added after 3 minute That's mostly if you were doing **** on the test server. If you were really trying out new HE mechanics you would get nothing due to not being able to make it to top 10 ever with a rubber bullets gun.

would get nothing due to not being able to make it to top 10 ever
with a rubber bullets gun. Again, if we're looking to change A in
the game doesn't mean that B, C or Y and Z will remain
unchanged. I personally like those changes only because they
slightly increase the skill cap. Those slow chunks of HP you're
talking about shouldn't rewarded. If you can't deal damage to a
well armored tank maybe you should reposition or ask your teammates
to flank... The HE changes will bring new gameplay to the
game if they ever get through the SB.Regarding the KV-2, I never
said you'll be useless in a KV-2 but if you find it hard to flank
in a slow tank, maybe keep your target pinned in his position while
your teammates flank him. I was replying to someone saying that
flanking in a KV-2 is impossible
grasho, on 15 February 2021 - 07:12 PM, said: Erm... How is that a problem? Are you suggesting the enemy shouldn’t be allowed to damage you until you’re ready and gotten yourself into a position that prevents them from damaging you? Here’s a thought - pick a better position or change your approach direction to minimise exposure. Or learn when to trade HP for advantage. What you are essentially saying is that you lack the skills to succeed, are not willing to learn, so support changing the game so it allows you to succeed. Whilst preventing the players on the other side from succeeding...
Dwigt: No that's not what I'm saying. But when a player knows how to
position himself he should be awarded for that right? What I'm
saying is that hiding your weak spots (no matter how many of those
you have on a tank) and good positioning should be
awarded. Same for the example in the video with the 2 tanks
facing each others. Which is completely the opposite of what
you're saying in your last sentence. I'm willing to learn and
improve my skills, learning how to park my tank, hide my weak
spots, know when to use all types of shells and ofc where to aim.I
don't want to lose part of my HP because a tiny part of track is
showing.
grasho, on 15 February 2021 - 07:27 PM, said: So you’re advocating that a heavy should passively sit back whilst other do the donkey work? Great way to encourage in-game toxicity. Flanking in a KV2 is a valid tactic. Hell, it’s even in accordance with the “you need to put HE shells into weakspots” change WG are foisting upon us.
Or are you saying your WG bosses are wrong? ETA A few reasons for flanking with a KV-2:
To target the extra squishy parts of a higher tier heavy. To avoid getting hit when the enemy has slow traverse. To force the enemy to rotate and thus expose their weak sides to your waiting team.
Dwigt: Again you take my answer, rephrase it in a negative and evil way to
make look bad
Just trying to have a decent
discussion about the changes (that are not confirmed and being
tested) I didn't say flanking/pushing in a heavy is not an
option and I didn't say flaking in a KV-2 is not an option.
However, the player I'm replying to seems to find that impossible.
If you can't push in a slow tank, medium, or even on foot then
don't
If you managed to flank your enemy
(solo or with your entire team) then GG, you should be rewarded and
destroy your enemy!
