Steel Hunt Need to Change!

Right now however it feels like there only two viable "tactical" options, yolo and steam roll or run away and hide.
The spawn feels to crowded and you are usually yolod instantly, only good thing with this is that you die early.    I don't have much experience of Battle Royale games and maybe this is how it works. I think it would be nice if we could pick less dangerous areas to spawn or risk it for the biscuit in a high danger area.
It kind of feels like this mode loses it's appeal when you just die and restart another game, die and rinse, repeat.
Some of the upgrades and tanks feel so much weaker then the others. Some balancing would be awesome!

First iteration of Steel Hunt was awesome!

Dwigt: Hello Enherjaren,Thank you for starting this discussion and for sharing your experience  in SH.Why did you prefer the first iteration?I'm personally not a fan of the BR genre in general but I'm always up to try new ones! My favorite one was PUBG because it was somehow realistic, slow paced and you can set up a strategy depending on your position and gear unlike other BR that are very fast paced and .The main difference between SH and most of the BR games is that you can't see where your enemies are spawning/dropping. That's why everyone at the start should be able to find 1 crate nearby. However, just like any other BR, only you (or your team) get to decide where to go, when to engage or hide. I guess the tanks could use a bigger map in SH so you don't run in enemies that often and the mode don't feel crowded but that's my personal opinion. I see some nice suggestions and feedback here thanks to you!

Dwigt: You can always get some rewards out of it unless you want the tier 9 tanks then you should have completed the two modes. Yes it's another BR mode but not a rip off.

Dwigt: The 20k repair cost was there from the start. It was mentioned in the article and several times on the forums.

But now it's pretty much just running & gunning. People yolo you at the start because they can get lucky with a drop and the spawns are crowded because of concentrated loot spawns create better areas. In SH you're rather equal at the start, difference being the tank you chose of course. In later stages it of course slows down, but rushing upgrades and the engaging is the tactic that works. You can include the early yolo as well and hope for the best.

Dwigt: I must agree with you! I feel that fast paced BR modes are all about rushing your enemy.. Either you win the fight and get the loot or you die and start a new round.

Lesser tanks really have no chance and starting battles are basically down to getting RNG.    Positioning, aiming, awareness, all pretty minor, map knowledge pretty pointless as well.

Dwigt: That's how BR games work. In SH you have upgrades for your tank, whereas other BR have Sniper rifles, ARs, Epic guns... Of course there's always luck in this genre but your decisions will always count and determine the final outcome.

Dwigt: Steel Hunter was also part of the Mirny-13 and Last Waffentrager modes and theme. What upgrades or consumables would you prefer to have?
