separating new players from veterans since everyone is able to
participate and get something out of it but sometimes the event
format, requirements and rewards will separate the players and
those who are interested will participate in the event. And like
you said marathons for example are available for everyone
whereas CW, ranked battles, clan based and high tier events
will be more interesting for veterans and skilled players and we
can not giveaway tier 10 tanks for new players and everyone else so
they don't feel excluded (that's the case of many other games...
You don't have appropriate gear for the raid? You can not join the
raid for now.. Do some Dungeon runs and level up so you can join us
later) . You're describing Tank Rewards as an exclusive
event for new players only because old players are not getting gold
(or valuable rewards) out of it! Which is wrong.
