First off, as a player who has paid a lot in this game, your “we, the players” does not include me. Your sweeping generalisations are lazy and untrue. Secondly, what right do I (or you or anyone else) have to decide or demand what equipment other players want or use? That is an authoritarian attitude and suggests we should become bots; behaving and acting only in ways WG approves off. That means WOT is not a game but is merely an exercise in compliance. Additionally, your suggestion that it’s all about the team is mistaken - we are not here to support the best players, we are here for fun. The game also does not reward team play: if I sacrifice myself for the benefit of my team (e.g. taking the damage so a better player doesn’t) I do not get rewarded; I lose credits and exp.
Dwigt: First of all I can assure you that I'm not dictating or pressing
someone to play the way I want the game to be played like you're
picturing me. Stop doing that it's not very healthy for the
conversation. Secondly, with the addition of the category
bonus on the 1st slot we're not punishing the players for using the
wrong equipment but rather rewarding the ones who uses the right
category equipment. You want to use your gun rammer on the first
slot of your heavy tank you're free to do so and no one will punish
you. You still get the same bonus from it. I wasn't ok with
some categories on some tanks but that's something else. You are not
here to support the best player but team play. For some people
fun is clicking Battle and dying in the first seconds and for
others is to win and get better stats. Do you want to define fun?
What we're doing is creating a new equipment system that encourages
you to have the right setup on your tank. Yeah you lose
credits just like when your tank gets destroyed in a 1v1 fight. If
you scarified your tank and your team didn't use that opportunity
well don't blame the game blame the team. Do you also blame the
game when you sacrifice your "hero" in other games and your
team is just watching? That's why communication is key in MMO and
online gaming.

Are you saying we should not moan and be thankful that someone made a profit whilst we made a loss? Or are you saying our losses are acceptable because some scummy individuals gamed the change? Either way, it’s a pretty stupid thing for customer-facing staff to say. I suggest you engage brain before hitting the keyboard. You make no mention of those who made a loss.
And as you have mentioned an equipment sale, can you confirm one will happen? Or is it just another meaningless sentence you have typed in the hope it will shut people up? (A bit like your comment a few weeks ago about the new stupid comms system and the hint we might have sone news on it soon.)
Dwigt: Again try to maintain a constructive discussion with someone who's
responsible of forwarding your feedback. Calling me stupid and
asking me to engage brain won't help! When I said "some people made
profit from equipment 2.0" I meant that some players came on the
forums and other platforms telling other players how they were able
to gain some credits from these changes. Maybe you thought I was
talking about the company. The reason why I mentioned it is because
you are sure that Equipment 2.0 is the credits drain that we were
planning for years. How's that a credits drain if you and many
others refused to change your setups? Why wouldn't we introduce it
with equipment discounts to make it much more appealing? Why would
we remove the equipment slots and reduce the price on low tiers? You
can moan and complain and that's why we are here.
rimmer_the, on 04 September 2020 - 07:32 PM, said: WG contributed to this with equipment 2.0, adding a lot of
equipment and making it harder for a good amount of players to
choose. Also, I can also understand those with 30 or more tanks not
wanting to go through the effort of respeccing every last tank.
And yes, this is a bit alleviated by demounting kits as a
reward, but Eq 2.0 could have been done better, and can still
be. Take the chance to change it a bit with the next update 18:35
Added after 3 minutes 18:43 Added after 10 minutes So those
bad "collector" tanks you sell for quite a lot of real
money are not supposed to be played but only rust in the garage ?
If people get bored of playing the same maps with the same smallish
pool of tanks for 30.000 games they are not allowed to play a
much greater variety of tanks at the same time ? ...I think I just
heard my wallet closing.Dwigt: 18:43 Added after 10 minutes So those bad "collector" tanks

are many other ways we could have implemented these changes but you
will always find the right way I can assure you.Regarding the added
equipment and making it harder. Before equipment 2.0 you had 2
or 3 setups and the game lacked diversity. Now you have a wider
choice, you will still have the best setup or meta setup but at
least you have a wider choice that suits different playstyles and
different tanks. One of my favorite games is always changing. New
gear every 3 4 months, different rotations and systems
and when the new expansion drops you have to do that all over again
on your main and alt characters. Same thing in other games. So
after 10 years, an equipment system revamp was needed and on the
long run we hope to see positive results. I asked him how many
tanks he's playing since he mentioned his 500 tanks and talking
about the camo and binocs setups more precisely.

where we introduce a new feature or an event for fun and free
rewards and you will always find someone complaining that it's not
fun.
