battles "trying to understand the game"? I think your assumption is
faulty. Look at random battles tier VI-X now. Is it your opinion
that the majority of experienced players have spent enough time
"understanding the game"? I do not in any way think new people will
stay and play tier V for example, if they have already researched
the tier VI vehicle in the line. There is no benefit to it for
them, and the player certainly doesn´t care if he isn't up to
scratch for the next tier.Removing 20% of the vehicles in the tech-trees and rushing people to tier VI might make new players enjoy the game more (for a short while) but what about the players who have played for 5-6 years? Will they enjoy the rush of newcomers to high tiers who have played 25,000 battles less?
As I have written before, I consider the diversity and complexity of the tech trees to be an integral part of the game, it added a lot to my personal interest in the game, and it felt very satisfying as soon as I finished a grind and could acquire the next vehicle. Oversimplifying the tech tree I consider detrimental to the game as a whole. As you can ask any entrepreneur, if everything was just for sale, and no hard work needed to get anything, just money, it would not give the same satisfaction. Do you think getting more new players in the game in this way will make them keep playing the game for years, or might they get bored quicker? Is this the player base you want to attract to the game?
I have spent countless hours grinding out tanks that will now be put up for sale (available without any effort at all except for taking out the wallet), which in a way is a bit bitter, as I receive no in-game recognition nor plus for this at all. It would be nice if you could reward us "grinders" with a filter to be able to select the amount of battles we want the other players to have under their belt in randoms, although I realise this is probably a pipe dream...
It remains to be seen what this decision will do to the player base.
Dwigt: Because the issue of low tier battles now is that sometime new
players don't have enough time to react before the battle is over.
Most of them would just rush to higher tier so they can at least
survive a couple of minutes. I believe that the HP pool increase
will help them survive longer and enjoy low tier battles and
increase map awareness, positioning. It's one of the many ways to
improve low tier battles for now. A new player with no experience
now can still make his way up to tier 8 easily. I barely have
1k battles and I can already play tier 8 and 9 tanks but I don't
because I won't survive and it will ruin my game experience but at
the same time low tier battles needed a tweak to make it more
enjoyable and I think we can all agree that most of the battles
happening right now are in the higher tier bracket. So to answer
you question, non we don't want new players with no experience to
ruin your high tier battles but we want them to enjoy the game by
making the low tier experience better so they can train themselves,
their crews and when they're ready to go up they will be able to do
so easier than before.

tree tanks but also see collector tanks? The beauty of the current
tech trees is that we must research all tiers which gives more
variety in most gamesDwigt: Tanks that are being moved will remain in the game. You can
still go get the Hetzer for example, one of my favorite tanks, and
play it like any other tech tree tank. When a player feel that he
wants to try a different tank or class he would still be able to do
it.
LethalAxe, on 23 March 2020 - 06:00 PM, said "...so you can enjoy the end game content."Are you implying that the rest of the content is not enjoyable? If people rush through lower tiers and play higher tiers much quicker, I think this might decrease their appreciation of the "end game content".
Once again I consider the journey to higher tiers to be an experience. If you make the journey shorter you remove part of the experience.
Dwigt: Enjoying end game content does not imply by any way that
the rest of the game is not enjoyable. You will still need
experience and credits to research high tier tanks. It
won't be that easy to reach high tiers and we're not removing that
part of the game.

the forums of posts, comments and likes on topic. Especially
thinking WG called in the past news/streeming those tanks "reward
tanks" (from t VI to t X) PLUS each time they removed/made a module
cheaper in the past they gave a compensation (oc the topic is the
same: give someth back to the player who already spent time on
something since they made easier for the new players to go on the
same way)Dwigt: Spamming the forum for the sake of spamming will not help us or the
community. Please if you have constructive ideas and suggestions
feel free to drop them here Can you please point out where we
mentioned that Collector's tanks are "Reward tanks"
