Dakiras:   And also technology moved a lot quicker some years back when the industry was in a massive boom. 5 years ago I bought a PC that's still going now and can run most games. The only thing I've upgraded on it is graphics card because the old one actually died. Properly dead. One of the GPU chips failed. Technology isn't moving at a rate of a mandatory upgrade every 2-3 years these days. Things are lasting a bit longer than 6-10 years ago.

Dakiras:   Even if you are able to get into the laptop (depends if it's within warranty) you're going to be limited by what you can get because there's less variety of them out there. You're probably going to be paying through your nose for this, too, since they're not cheap. So, you may well find a decent graphics upgrade but I'm not sure you'll find it really worth the money to get an increase of, perhaps, 20-30 fps.   As a final note, have you exhausted all other options of improving FPS? If not, try those first. There's no guarantee that a graphics module upgrade will give you the desired performance increase you're looking for.
