establish a mechanism to balance the groups it's a much better
lottery to farm easy gold for some while it hasn't proved to be
fairer. Why? There are teams who made it to play off that
would be last position in other groups. How is this a better
system? Are you kidding me? XD Is it so hard to implement an
algorithm that can calculate the average level of a team (just
using WR or personal whatever WG rating is) and create groups by
level to do a proper distribution? It literally takes 5 minutes if
you can make a better system but I can guarantee you that it's not
going to increase the amount of participants since you remove the
retarded lucky factor that allow some people who don't deserve it
to get easy gold.Berbo: "It literally takes 5 minutes" - this is the key word
I wish I could show you how
development goes and how the feedback flow functions, it's never 5
minutes... We will not be adding ANY rating in these
cups, ratings will be available for ingame ladders and similar
but for grassroots cups we'll not be adding it (any time soon)
Adding rankings may improve experience for a few teams and
generates hundreds of complaints of how inaccurate it is, how some
group had bad balancing etc. Like in any game. We're fine
with a few teams getting 200 gold for group stage, overall stronger
teams will prevail in the play off phase anyway. And if they reach
quarterfinals or more, then it's not going to be because of luck.
Since you guaranteed this will not increase participation,
I'll try to remember to update you on this. Cheers!
