Group stage feedback

Therfore, the current system is a step in the right direction in my opinion. I also agree that rewards should reflect effort and that this is the way to go..   I'm saying that if for example we would have 30% of the teams advance to the next round instead of 20%, that we could reduce the amount of no-shows and the group stage would be more interesting, as there would be more motivation from casual players to really play all 9 games seriously. In my experience, from the last few tournaments I played that had group stages, the last few games of the set were not taken seriously or not even played by teams that were in the lower half of the table at that point. If they still had a chance, I'm sure the effort put in would have been higher.
I unfortunately don't have many other ideas, and I know I'm complaining on a high level here, but I would really like to see high-energy high-tension games throughout the group stage.
I do play in other formats such as ESL and I would like to see more teams in there in the future. I think you're going the right way with the tournaments and I wanted to leave some feedback on that. Thanks for taking the time for such a thorough reply and enjoy your weekend :) Cheers donDuky

Berbo:   Now when you put it this way it's a lot easier to digest :) I understand your point and it'll be taken into a consideration. Allowing more teams to progress would solve some of the issues you mentioned. After GF we'll sit down and discuss activities for 7/68 in general and making a good cup for players willing to train for it will be one of the main focuses for post GF period.   Thanks for your comments!
