Berbo: Its best to fully upgrade your tank, as you will have better experience while you grind for next tier. Usually some modules which you research are already researched on next tier so one way or another dont skip full research.
T-28 is good damage dealer, although with weak armor.
On ESL fun cup (while it was T4) it was pretty popular.
