This rule was not intended to be part of the tournament, and was not present in the rules of reference, which were listed in the article published on February 5th:
At first this was
displayed in every language, but not in English. This was fixed,
but the line somehow re-appeared in the English rules only, but was
still correct in the news article. We're sorry for the people who
got confused.
Regarding the +25% boost, only 3 out of the 8 teams couldn't benefit from it, because some players had indeed joined the clan late, while for the 5 other teams, every member is a long-time member of the clan and could take part in the tournament from beginning to end, legitimating the bonus for their clan.
But don't worry, you will soon get other chances to refloat your clan's treasury some more
We hope you had fun during these weeks of tournament! With the next Clan War Campaign on its way, it was interesting to see how the previous balance of power could evolve in different conditions, and hopefully it was a good training for most of you
Judging by the success of this Winter
edition, there are good chances a tournament of that kind will be
held again in the future, with maybe a few interesting tweaks (like
not having to postpone matches because of an update, sorry about
that)! Some of you might be aware of tournaments being held
in other regions, and I'm talking to the big guns here, do you
think you could take on some of the best teams from the other side
of the world? Anyway, if you have any feedback regarding
this Winter Clan Tournament, or even ideas you'd want to suggest
for the future, please don't hesitate to comment on this
