Jeremy Taylor: The World of Tanks standard modes don't assume respawns. The player's standard hangar may contain up to 5 different panzers of different nations. Thus, if your panzer is destroyed before the battle is finished, you may switch to your other fighting vehicle and join another fight at once or watch the battle till the end.

Jeremy Taylor: The main mode is the third person view with four scales of remoteness from your tank and possibility to freely rotate the camera around the vehicle by scrolling. World of Tanks also feature the sniper mode for tanks and the “howitzer” mode for long-range artillery. There will be a “following camera” mode where you can stick to your teammate tanks that are still in battle when you vehicle is destroyed.
We don't think that a single-view option is a convenient feature for the action game like World of Tanks .

MrVic: Actually thats not quite the case everywhere. Not to mention thats really something you should be posting as it can be taken as a slight by many and really violating the forum guidelines. Not to mention its just bad form. Its about like someone saying you don't know much about the world because you just recently became old enough to eat off the adult menu at most restaurants. Personally I prefer to ignore where anyone lives what they do and even their age in take a measure of that person based on their true knowledge/skill/work ethic and go from there. I was born and raised in the US and live here now. And I feel I know a rather large volume of historical information. So I do find some offense in your statement and would prefer if you keep such thoughts to yourself :)
Thanks :)

Because if you live in the USA, it would be obvious why your history is not so good.

MrVic: Not really sure how to respond to this... :Smile_great: I mean really? I live in the USA so I guess I know little about history?
I guess ignorance is bliss

Jeremy Taylor: Dear tankers! My sincere congratulations to you on taking part in the 1st World of Tanks championship and many thanks! Even though that some of you couldn't take part and notwithstanding multiple challenges, you've done a great work! Before the Champ the absolute majority of the Russian players didn't know about your existence. Now they know who to fear in future!
Thanks to the Polish team for showing us unity in playing! A bunch of thanks to the united EU/US tankers for bravery and showing some prominent individual skills (Cadyshack, you've the best scout I've ever seen).
Thank you guys, you are simply the best!

View Postrian, on 28 April 2010 - 03:46 PM, said: • will there be engine upgrades ( i know the chance of changing turrent and gun) because everyone knows that the engine and the gear of the tiger 2 was far to weak for the weight?
• are the players able to klick a botton to make a friendship with other players?
• and will the players be able to join there friends on a special server?

Jeremy Taylor: 1.An average tank will have 2 modifications of turret, 2 variants of track, 3 models of engine and 2-6 modifications of the main gun – quite a wide range of options for a keen tank designer. All the upgrades are historically grounded – that means they were either implemented in real life or existed as prototypes.
2. Yes, players will be able to make friendship with other tank men through the specific interface option. We think that this feature is vital for composing teams and clans in World of Tanks .
3. Yes, they will. We are putting a very strong emphasis on the social component of the game.

Jeremy Taylor: At the moment, some types of buildings are completely destructible in World of Tanks and players are capable of shooting through them. Objects on the map including hedges, trees, benches, poles, etc. are knocked down. Cars on city maps go up in flames nicely when tanks run into them. We will be adding myriads of other destructible objects into the game gradually.
