ARGO: Take anything said with a grain of salt, Don't always believe when
someone tells you a certain tank sucks as gospel, try
everything....TDs, SPGs, as well as tanks. You never know what your
good at and what makes you happy now may change as your run up the
tree. Be open to new things and keep an eye on whats said in the
forums to weigh your decisions against too. Buy some Premium tanks
to help you bolster your gold and exp so you can enjoy games with
your friends of higher tiers but never forget to learn your tank
and not always depend on your premiums to win. Make sure if you
like a tank KEEP IT. Nothings worse then jumping into the next tank
and finding you just do not like how it performs but are stuck
because you used your old tank to buy it and are now stuck grinding
through it to take yet another chance that the next tank may be
even a worse choice. Always keep the ones you like and max them
out. You may also want to consider down the road a premium account
if you want to gain more exp or $$$.

Other MMOGs that have grinding start you out in zones of low level, so you can still have fun as you work your way up. They don't usually throw you in with the wolves at the start.
I still like the game but the game makers draw us into spending more real money by giving us the option to buy upgrades, rather than grinding through. (dirty trick?) This is a new trend for MMOGs (such as City of Heroes). Instead of a monthly fee, they say "PLAY FOR FREE", but then offer bennies for $$$.
Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield dont seem to have this problem and they don't "nickel and dime" you to death. That is -3 fun points right there.
I spent $20 bucks for the game in the store (good price). But now I need to spend more money if I REALLY want to have fun with it. $100 bucks and id probly rate it a 9.

ARGO: I really like this game a lot, I like the forum community even
more. If I have to rate this game, then I have to rate it as a
whole meaning adding in the forum community and clans. As a whole I
think this game is really something special because of of the game
itself and because of how it makes you want to be a part in the
forums. Every day I look forward to playing a few rounds with
friends and the players that invite me as a tag a long as well as
making new friends in the forums and writing in articles like this
one. Even the clan sections can sometimes really make you laugh or
really boil your blood like a real good soap opera. This game to me
is more than "just a game". It's a big part of what makes me happy
and gives me something good to look forward to outside of the RL
problems. I like interacting in-game with players and clans and
also like the good and the bad with the drama of victory and
defeat. I would dare to say that if the two new members of the
Wargames family "World of War Planes and World of Battleships are
even remotely as good as this game as far as community
participation and gameplay then Wargames should have many years of
a successful product. I am sure some will rail on the negatives of
WoT "Lag, matching, clan wars drama" but few can say that for some
really strange reason this game seems to hook you right back in and
make you come back for more which to me makes up for any
inconsistencies to date. So in short, I will give my rating plus
add a new one...

merge for inter server clanwars on a huge world map.

It has previously been stated that WG plan on adding a lot of new maps to the clanwars system. This includes adding fresh new maps into new upcoming regions like NA maps for NA regions, AUS maps for AUS regions etc, but it also includes adding new maps into existing regions. Most CW updates will see a inclusion of new and altered maps into the clanwars system as we continue to expand and complete the world conquest map.
More maps were changed apart from a few landing zones & this will be the second or third time such changes have been made to the maps in clanwars updates.
I apologize this alteration was not specifically included in the update notes, we will add such announcements in future and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The Clan Wars maintenance which started on Tuesday is nearly complete, and Clan Wars should return by 2PM PDT / 21:00 UTC.
As we announced previously, there are a few changes that will be implemented with the return of Clan Wars. These were originally scheduled to release with version 7.0, but the transition to the new community portal -- which the Clan Wars maintenance was a part of -- was a major step in releasing the next game update.
These changes were implemented in advance of the update due to many of them being web-based changes, rather than changes taking place on the game server itself.
Clan Wars will be returning in the same state that it was taken down in -- meaning all provinces are still controlled by the clans that controlled them prior to the maintenance.
Updates
If a province has no direct connection to the clan headquarters (or through other provinces), then the clan will no longer earn income from the specified province. If a clan does not have a headquarters, they will not earn income from owned provinces.If a clan currently owns one or more provinces on the Global Map, it cannot apply for landing.If there are multiple attacks scheduled for a single province, attackers must first fight against each other. The winning clan will then face the owner of the province in the final match.
We've heard the feedback on these changes and their announcement window, and are striving to improve communication of changes like this in the future.
