How is the particular vehicle chosen? Can we nominate a vehicle? how about the ST-I? Hardly ever see it and need just it to requal my Master Tanker. Can we encourage them out of the garages please.

GeneralDirection: This is based on the dates they were approved for service, entered production, etc. :)

i want to sell my tanks, get my 2x but those arent reseting. tis was proly in a past post but devs, how can we TEST tanks if we never have room in the garage or without the 2x. the 2x give u 40000xp instead of 9000 so thats a great helper into helping YOU.
please try to fix this for future test servers. TY

Tanitha: Hi, I don't know how it occurred, but the bug is known.
Thanks
Tan.

GeneralDirection: Interesting idea. We'll discuss it.

View PostK405, on Jun 15 2012 - 03:18, said: Kudo's to the guy pointing out you get nothing for a draw, but you get paid for winning or losing.

GeneralDirection: The reason should be obvious: we don't want to reward for passive, camping gameplay.

View PostK405, on Jun 15 2012 - 03:18, said: I don't play tank company battles, my busy lifestyle doesn't allow me the luxury of sitting and waiting indefinatly for a battle, so I play 100% random battles and enjoy platooning with friends.
I know many other people that also play only random battles, can you please consider us and perhaps start WG platoons; as with my last comment on your churchill tank special, involving more people would make more people happy.

GeneralDirection: I like this idea. Now that the staff has grown a bit we might be able to do this sometimes as well. We can tell you guys what tier we're queueing at, and you can put together platoons to try and beat us.

View PostK405, on Jun 15 2012 - 03:18, said: (I get to do the weekend tank specials once or twice a year, cause that's how often you involve a tank I actually own, I never get to partake in the company battles, come on guys)

GeneralDirection: How many tanks do you own? We've gone through each tank tree at least once each since I joined the team last August--some tanks multiple times.

I'm sure I'd be out-beat by the many other better artists but i just thought "why not give it a shot" lol.
So yeah, what should a paper-drawn pin-up be like? (I can google it, but it still doesn't help me understand).
Whatever, I'll just sumbit something random and hope for the best :l

Gaea: I'm not sure if you're actually asking a question here or not, but I'll answer anyway! Most "pin up" drawings were done on tanks or airplanes themselves, and painted, you can actually see the ones that Tea_of_Doom just put in his post.

2 questions tough:
1. For the digital category, instead of submitting a flat poster, can we make a pin-up on a section of a tank. I'm thinking of something similar to airplane nose-art commonly found on allied bombers in ww2.

http://www.bombercom...artnlsfull2.jpg
http://www.noseart.c...ps/membelle.jpg
2. So the winners will be solely chosen by the community? Do you plan to interfere if you see that a specific entry gets *bumped* up for no apparent reason?

Gaea: 2. So the winners will be solely chosen by the community? Do you plan to interfere if you see that a specific entry gets *bumped* up for no apparent reason?
1. Yes, you can.
2. We will be choosing our top 10 from all the submissions, and then posting those top 10 for you to choose your top 5. We usually do it by a voting process through the reputation arrows.

1st place winner normally is your average run of the mill, I have no idea why they picked it as first place kind of work [But sometimes I am wrong this statement, sometimes 1st place is really nice and really deserved it]
2nd place should be the first place winner...
3rd place is either a rather good one, or made by some 10 year old kid...
4th and 5th place are usually by some weird random thing you can barely call art.
And normally there are other VERY nice works with hard effort that dont even make it at all...
For example, look at the Design your own German Tank contest...

Just my 2 cents.

FYI, the submissions for the Design your own German tank were not based only on the drawing, but mainly on the explanation and description.
Also, you will be choosing the top 5, not us.

So what im saying Mods, please, judge on how good looking they are, and not because you feel sympathy for kids who barely put in effort like 1-2 days compared to those who spent weeks making good works of art.

Just my 2 cents.

FYI, the submissions for the Design your own German tank were not based only on the drawing, but mainly on the explanation and description.

Also, you will be choosing the top 5, not us.

For example, look at the Design your own German Tank contest...
http://forum.worldof...n-tank-contest/
From that contest...
1st place was a really well done

http://forum.worldof...attach_id=22039

The 2nd place was rather nicely done

http://forum.worldof...attach_id=22044

I have no idea how this design won 3rd place
Warning, VERY BIG PICTURE. Sorry

http://forum.worldof...attach_id=22049

4th place was.. well.. take a look for yourself...

http://forum.worldof...attach_id=22055

5th place was rather ok ok
Very long picture, My apologies for that.

http://forum.worldof...attach_id=22059

And these 2 out of 5 are Consolations... aka, they won 1000 Gold

Warning, VERY VERY VERY big picture, im really sorry, dont know how to shrink it.

Trying to gather players together for Clan Wars for defence of a captured territory is seemingly impossible as the battle schedules are during our normal working day?
ALso our PING to the US server sucks and many players are change to the Asia server but starting all over again oh no!
If no plans for Ozzie server can you make it possible to switch accounts across a server upon request?

GeneralDirection: We're currently discussing the best way to improve service to players in Australia and New Zealand. We haven't come to a final conclusion yet, so I'd rather not say what that is. But we do realize that ping is an issue for folks in the region.

View PostRanork, on Jun 14 2012 - 03:42, said: Are there any plans to change the order in which voice alerts regarding tank damage?
Presently it will tell you modules are damaged first followed lastly by "we are on fire, quick put it out". This makes the manual fire extinguisher kind of useless as by the time you get told your on fire the damage has been done.
I don't need to know that my fuel tank has been hit, or my radio damaged when I am on fire.
If I was unlucky enough to be a tank commander in WWII I would really like to know that I am on fire first!

GeneralDirection: No current plans, but I do see the value in fire notification taking precedence in the order of events for message triggering. I'll make sure to pass that on.

View PostOtto_matic_Reiffel, on Jun 14 2012 - 04:02, said: Cool, let us know how that turns out.
Any answer to if / when Wargaming will make similar information available?

GeneralDirection: We're investigating tools and features that could make for better information flow regarding hit boxes, etc. No announcement to make yet though.

(it doesn't say in the advertized special, but am wondering?)

GeneralDirection: Purchasing the tank from the in-game store does not grant a garage slot. You'll need free space in the garage to make the purchase.
100% crew will also cost additional gold--200 gold per crew member--if you want to start out with the crew at 100%.
This special will save you 750 gold on the tank, though, so you'll be able to put some of that to other things. :)
