The_Chieftain: I've not had the best experience with my 113. I find it's a very
situational tank. The turret armour is pretty good, but don't count
on the hull or gun for too much. It's pretty nippy, but the gun
handling (and particularly the utter lack of gun depression) is
infuriating, it means you can't engage on your own terms half the
time. I have not yet figured it out. It's not the 'medium' Tier X
heavy I was expecting it to be.

Link on message: #8130323
Link on message: #8130323
The_Chieftain: In my case, my first question is "Is there anything currently in my
arc of fire?" If there is, I don't care how bad a target it
is. Unless there's some ridiculously important reason for me not to
shoot, I'll fire the round. It takes not much longer to zoom in if
I shift the hull than it does to load a new round. May as well be
doing both at the same time. Note that just because you think a
'better' target is right next to you it does not mean that the
artillery piece can actually hit it. You may be at the very edge of
their arc of fire. After that, it comes down to a couple of
different issues for me. The first question is "Do I want to take a
gun out of the fight?" or "Do I want to take on a dangerous
target." There are times when I'll use the shot to remove a weak
target just so that there's one less gun aiming at my colleagues,
or so that it gets killed before it successfully escapes to
reposition to shoot again later from hiding. If it's a case of
finding a dangerous target, then it comes down a bit to behaviour.
An aggressive, apparently well-handled medium may well be more
dangerous than a plodding heavy. Even if it's harder to hit, I may
well take the crack at the medium, in the knowledge that my team
are better handled to deal with the slow frontal assault than
fleeting and relatively tough target maneuvering to the side. Or,
if there's no particular maneuver threat, then I just go for the
big armor/big gun, and aim for the T95/Jagtiger/E4 whatever.

a proposed TD revision precisely that: An open topped ATG mounted
on an M40 hull. It's still on my possibility list. The problem is
that it's very 'out of character' for the rest of the armoured
lines. I had input it as more of a US "Light SPATG" line.

"Solution 1" - So what you're saying is that you want great rewards with no risk? That will not happen. If you're looking to avoid all risk of loss, you'll have to keep your SH at level 4 and keep to Stronghold Skirmish battles. "Solution 2" - We do not plan on activating roaming right now. Even if it were, it's likely that other servers' clans would not be able to participate in CW or tournaments. And lastly, if a clan is unable to handle their own local server, they will definitely not be ready for all of the clans from the other servers.

expect the Qualifier to take place around the same time. They will

designed in the game to use them. Although I have issues with some
of the low tier US TDs (In reality artillery pieces) which may
eventually be re-branched to the Arty tree, the vehicles are
balanced for direct fire capability only. If the vehicle is given a
dual-mode, we probably need to create a new class of dual-mode
vehicle and balance it accordingly. There's no particular need to
do it.

The_Chieftain: So you are suggesting that we rig the game so that players who are
good get artificially kicked in the nuts, and players who are bad
get boosted? That seems a little... unreasonable. Surely
good players should keep winning, and bad players should be
motivated to become good?
