Lert: I'm refurbishing an old, tired 1/16th scale R/C Tamiya Konigstiger, and am at the point where I need to decide on a camouflage for it. I've decided on large-ish spots in one color edged by another, like in the example. But which one should I take? I can't decide. Green spots with brown edge (left) or brown spots with green edge (right)?     I'm leaning towards brown spots with green edge, but not sure yet.

Capitao_Desastre_: Comandantes!   Ano novo, concurso novo! Durante as próximas duas semanas, queremos ver quem consegue criar os melhores guias em Português sobre como jogar com tanques médios. Pode ser um guia em texto ou em video, pois vamos ter premiações separadas para cada categoria! A escolha é sua.
    Estes guias devem ser o mais generalistas possível, de forma a poderem se aplicar ao maior número de veículos. Claro que existem tanques que no jogo estão classificados como médios que jogam como tanques pesados (e.g., Matilda). Se acharem necessário ter um tanque específico como exemplo, recomendaria um dos tanques médios Americanos ou Soviéticos de níveis 5 a 7.   Podem igualmente usar quaisquer imagens que queiram para melhor ilustrar o guia no caso dos guias de texto. Para os guias em vídeo, uma abordagem simples e rápida é preferida, como se o vídeo fosse um capítulo introdutório de uma série maior sobre tanques médios.   Como participar? É simples, basta fazer um post em resposta a este tópico contendo o guia ou um link para o guia. Têm até às 23 e 59 de 21 de Janeiro para fazerem suas entradas. Notem que apenas é permitido participar em uma das duas categorias. As entradas serão julgadas pela equipe comunitária.   Dúvidas e questões relacionadas com o concurso serão respondidas neste mesmo tópico.   Para prêmios temos 2500 gold para o guia de texto julgado como o melhor, e 2500 gold para o melhor guia vídeo. Lert: I actually wrote a PSA about this a while back.   Just because it can work if all the stars align doesn't mean it'll always work. The defenders have a huge advantage defending valley.

HBFT:   Quite a number of emblems were modified in different ways from custom graphics to clever adaptations of existing ones.  When all was said and done, all emblems were collected in one place so that regular WG staff could vote on their ordered favorites.  The Top 8 placement was varied and from there points were assigned and tallied.  The results are as I posted earlier.   We hoped to create a contest that people could enjoy and have fun with and my apologies if it has caused more heartache than fun.  

HBFT:     on each side of a World of Tanks logo and then a candy cane graphic to cover the initials - and that is the being "original" WG said was important???....nothing against you bud, seriously.  I think the irritation hits a 10 when in the rules they say to try not to be "holiday/religious specific" and virtually the entire basis of yours is a Christmas wreath.   In fact, apart from the Christmas ornaments, there is NOTHING WINTER about your entry.  Considering all the talk about cold and hibernation in the opening remarks of this contest, nothing would distinguish your clan's winner logo from a winter in Hawaii or the North Pole - not to mention 1/2 the planet celebrates Christmas in summer.   I can understand the confusion and it was not my intention to cause such.  A number of artists presented emblems that focused on what I believe sparked images, or feelings, of "Winter" to them.  In this cited instance, the holiday wreath with candy canes is an example of that.  With regards to potential religious focus, these are the rules as stated in the OP:   "Do not insult any religions, do not use any religious symbols in a derogatory fashion, and do not create emblems to preach or promote any specific religion."   The point of the section there and the flavor intro talking about winter was to try to promote clean and respectful fun.  Again my apologies if it caused confusion.  

HBFT:   I completely agree that AT_VELOCITY did a fantastic job.  From what I have seen, they always do!  (At least, I am consistently impressed)   That having been said, all submitted emblems were put up to vote to the WG staff.  The final point tallies resulted in the results that have been posted.  We noticed that [-HTD-] put in a phenomenal effort to submit a variety of entries and quite a number of [-HTD-] submissions made Top 8 for a portion of the WG staff.
