Lert:   Yeah yeah we all know that. But what makes them reds or purples is how often they carry or derp. Out of every 100 matches played, a purple carries a great deal more than a red. That's why they're purple.

The_Chieftain: So my cav squadron did a commemorative engraved 1911 pistol (Well, technically it's a ParaUSA PXT 1445), and I'm wondering if there was any interest in an engraved WoT .45. Not quite sure how I'd get this past PR, mind, but it seems it might sell well in the US.

dance210: Good luck to all the teams that are participating!   Because of the number of teams, the schedule has been adjusted slightly. You can see it on the tournament page, but I will also post the revisions below, to make things easier. Also updated is the number of teams moving on (see below).   Schedule Tournament Stage Date Time Map Group Stage 1 Thurs, Feb. 19 18:00 PST Steppes Group Stage 2 Sat, Feb. 21 15:00 PST Ensk Tie-breaker (if needed) Sat, Feb. 21 18:00 PST Siegfried Line Quarterfinal Sun, Feb. 22 16:00 PST Steppes Semifinal Sun, Feb. 22 18:00 PST Ensk Final Sun, Feb. 22 20:00 PST Siegfried Line   Group Stage 1 The top 4 teams in each group will move on to Group Stage 2   Group Stage 2 The top 4 teams will move on to the Playoffs If there are no tied teams, there will be one group of 8. The top 4 teams move on. If there are tied teams, there will be two groups. The top 2 teams in each group will move on to the Playoffs.     If any team has a questions, please feel free to post it here or shoot me a PM. Thanks guys!

Lert:   It's a choice. If your gun is already loaded you don't need that reload speed. And if your turret ring and track are both busted, you can't get your gun on a target anyways. Getting your track and turret ring functional again is more important than your reload speed. It's situational and I'm sure you can bring up as many situations where you'd opt not to do this as I can where I'd opt to do this, but that's where it being optional and activatable at any time during repairs comes in.  

Lert:   Could give it a cool down timer or give it finite uses. Maybe a consumable. Maybe a piece of equipment. Maybe a crew skill. Idunno. There are many ways to do this.

Lert: Yeah I concur. Not happening, though.   One argument one might have is that not all 'fail' platoons are actual fail platoons. Yeah everyone agrees a tier 1 does not belong in a tier 10 match, but a KV-2 platooned with a tier 7? I see no problem. In fact, I do this regularly and can't remember the last time I was accused of failplatooning, doing this.

Lert: There are those times where you're tracked in the open, or your turret ring is knocked out or your engine gone, but you've already burned your repair kit. The only option in that case is to just sit it out and hope your crew can get the module up and functioning again before you get horribly murdered. With some modules on some tanks this can take a relatively very long time.   What I propose is a button that can activate a repair speed boost on the crew, in exchange for a temporary reduction in their own functionality.   Activating this function would, for example:   - Add 50% to your repair speed (so you repair at 150%, stacks with toolbox bonus) - Halve your vision range - Halve your reload speed - Halve your radiorange   ... for the duration of the repair.   The reasoning behind this is that sometimes the thing you care about most is getting your repair done as quickly as possible, and your button press would tell the crew to concentrate all effort on the repairs, instead of doing their actual jobs which somehow magically the crew is still able to do while you're repairing a track or turret ring in the current system. Ofcourse, after the crew is finished repairing, they will go back to doing their own job again so your reload speed and vision and radio ranges will return to normal right away.

Lert:   You platoon a tier 1 with a friend's tier 10 vehicle because the highest you have is tier 4, you get TK'd and now you're driving a tier 10. Congratulations.
