dance210:   Hi!   Yes, there is a separate registration for each day. So if you want to play each day, you will need to register reach day. Prizes are given out for each daily tournament.

The_Chieftain:   I like him.   I am going to stay out of the fight with Yuri and him, but I have reason to believe that Yuri is off-base with our relationship with Bovington (They were very helpful to me last month, and we're sponsoring TankFest, so obviously there's no major disaster there). We certainly have occasional issues with musea, but knowing things as I do, I doubt much can be blamed at the feet of Challenger. Yuri may or may not be drawing false conclusions from information available to him. I don't talk with any European musea except Bovington (and that, rarely), so I'm not in a position to comment 'in the know'.  

The_Chieftain:   Not quite. EU emailed Extra Credits about a week before I walked over and spoke to them in person. When Challenger found out that I was talking with EC as well, he emailed me with an offer to stand back if I had anything particular going on. I replied that I didn't, they were free to continue working whatever in specific they had in mind. So they did. 

The_Chieftain:   Not sure about that. Remember, the purpose of the Internet was that it was designed just so it could -not- be easily disrupted. 

dance210:   Hi!   This is only the second season for the Clan League. The current plan is to run two League seasons in a year, although the actual starts dates may vary.   Something new we are trying for this season is an Open Cup series. The Open Cup is an introduction to the Clan League format, with the top 2 teams after the playoffs earning a spot in next season's Challenger's League.

The_Chieftain: For whiskey, my standard is Bushmill's ten year single malt. I really am not a fan of Jameson. I swung by the distillery a couple months ago, and of the flight from tasting, only liked the cheapest of the reserves.   By tradition, whenever I go home, I swing by duty free and pick up a bottle of Middleton's extra rare. They're owned by Jameson, which is why I go back to the distillery: I sign the owners' book. Ordinarily, and this works for wines as well, my palate is not sophisticated enough to tell the difference between a $40 bottle and a $140 bottle, but this stuff is good enough that I do. I have 2008, 2010 and 2014 sitting on my bar right now, awaiting suitable events to occasion drinking.

GhostPrime:   I can understand it being frustrating, have you tried to educate the tankers in the rentals, give some friendly advice on how to play the tank?

The_Chieftain: I do believe that's a Type-22, if my memory is correct. I've been playing Harpoon for so long that I remember when Type 22 was modern, and Type 23 was brand new...   Problem with ship models is I like 1/350. They take up shelf room, fast.

dance210:   The decision was made for Challengers and Champions League to ban all reward tanks. As the Open Cup is the first step in the Clan League, it only makes sense to restrict the same tanks.   We had multiple conversations before deciding which, if any, tanks to ban. It was through those discussions that we decided to ban all reward tanks and only allow players to bring tanks that are on sale in the premium shop or are available in the tech tree. FYI, this decision was also made separately from the WGL Grand Finals decision, as these are separate leagues

dance210: WGCL Open Cup 1 of 3Tournament Page Registration Schedule Open Cup 1Group Stage 1 Monday, April 4th @ 6 pm PT / 8 pm ET Map: Ghost Town Group Stage 2 Wednesday, Apriil 6th @ 6 pm PT / 8 pm ET Map: Sand River Group Stage 3 Monday, April 11th @ 6 pm PT / 8 pm ET Map: Murovanka Group Stage 4 Wednesday, Apriil 13th @ 6 pm PT / 8 pm ET Map: Himmelsdorf  14/140 FormatOfficial maximum battle time will be 8 minutes with 3 minutes between battles. All maps are Dual-Cap Attack/Defense mode. Teams will play one match on attack and one match on defense within each round. There are two sides to each map: attack and defense Attacker wins if their team is able to 1) cap one enemy base or 2) kill all enemy tanks Defender wins if their team is able to 1) successfully defend both bases from the attacker and survive for the full 8 minute timer or 2) kill all enemy tanks. The use of mods is strictly forbidden, all players must use a vanilla client. The use of mods could result if forfeiture of the round, the entire Group Stage and/or disqualification and removal from the entire Cup. Players must set replays to record all. Wargaming reserves to right to request replays and/or python logs at any time. Players are required to submit those to clan.league.wga@gmail.com or risk forfeiture of the match and/or round. All players must be in the clan at the time of the battle in order to participate. If any player is not in the clan and enters the battle, the team will forfeit that round. Both team's captains are allowed to make changes in their active team roster and vehicle setup after each battle. Tank CompositionTeams may field up to 14 players with up to 140 tier points allowed for tank choices. The maximum tier allowed is Tier X. i.e. an IS-7 is a tier X tank and is equal to ten tier points. Teams must have a minimum of 12 players and 112 tier points. If a team has less than 12 players or 112 tier points, they will be disqualifed. Players are not allowed to bring any reward tanks. These include, but are not limited to Clan Wars reward tanks (M60, Object 907, etc.) Rampage reward tank (T-22SR) Personal msision reward tanks (T-55A, T28 concept, etc.) Cup PrizesPrizes are paid out to the clan treasury, based on final, overall standings from Rounds 3 and 4.1st Place: 5,000 gold to clan treasury 2nd Place: 4,000 gold to clan treasury 3rd - 4th Place: 3,500 gold to clan treasury 5th - 8th Place: 3,000 gold to clan treasury Cup PointsThe top 8 clans from each Cup will earn Cup Points depending on their final rank.The top 8 clans, based on cumulative points across all Cups, will participate in a Playoff at the end of May / beginning of June. In the Heavy Throwdown, single-player teams are split into groups, with each group having no more than 10 teams. The_Chieftain:   It was not based on M3, and was not comparable. The 2pr just wasn't going to cut it in 1942, for either anti-armor or anti-infantry work. The upgunned variants had their own problems.
