Every time they ask a question, it’s 24-hour turnaround time because of the time zones not overlapping office hours.And they are usually unnecessary questions.

The_Chieftain: I jus walked in the hotel from the Tennessee State Capitol. They have quite a good State Museum here. Not a hint of any trouble, i’m Not sure why they picked the location they did.   I have no idea what the Yuri business is. WG has provided me with the best possibility of getting the highest quality book out, so whatever your issues are with the WG/Yuri relationship, you will either find my book a good reference worth having on your bookshelf for the price, or you won’t. I don’t think it should be evaluated on any other grounds.

The_Chieftain: Hose them down with water. Not only will it make them cold and miserable, stopping th fight,  it’ll help out the Zamboni in the next break...

The_Chieftain:   There is no such necessary implication. Ireland is a case in point. We did things which certainly helped the Allies in the war in the Atlantic, such as not requiring ASW aircraft to detour around Donegal (not that we advertised that much) but we absolutely were officially neutral and not involved in the war.   I don’t know what Portugal did or did not do with regards to the U-boat war, but official neutrality does not mean that the Portuguese did not assist, publicly or not.

The_Chieftain:   Well, it matches the Hunnicutt book we put out. All part of the series. That said, the printer for that was short on one color, so shades are a bit wonky compared to actual.   I’m sure that in a couple years a version will come out with a different cover, but I can’t vouch for print quality. We’re going to take a gamble on this one, in the interests of getting some in the hands of folks by Christmas, and start a production run of offset printing while the book is on offer in November. Once that batch is gone, the rest won’t be delivered until probably Feb or March, after the sales period is over. We are going to gamble that as a new-print book, demand will be such that two offset batches will be practicable.   After that, I presume re-prints will have a different cover, but will almost certainly be print on demand quality. Same $53 price plus shipping, but comes with an M56 Scorpion code.

CabbageMechanic:   I played and won my first round earlier basically doing this.  I only destroyed minions that threatened me in my effort to flank Leviathan though.   how2kill big tenk
- Shoot the weak spots denoted by the glowing cracks
- Health packs heal everyone so try to keep an eye on team health and hit them when they're the most valuable
- Juggle Leviathan's attention back and forth and don't peek when he's on you

I also found that if you sidescrape properly on a parallel plane to him you can keep Leviathan pumping shots into the wall in front of you while your team goes to work

 Two new versions of Province are up on Supertest. Our goal is to fix the gameplay problems of the previous version and to release the map to the main servers, if everything goes well. 
We will increase the size of the map up to 1000x1000 m, so that it’s suitable for vehicles of Tiers VIII-X and will add some balance fixes that will improve the gameplay. 

 By the way, we are still working on the prototypes for Minsk. The Super Test gets the updated version of Railway station plaza:

MA77: E tem mais mudanças chegando para os fanáticos da Árvore Tecnológica soviética!   Nós estamos testando mudanças na ramificação soviética do Object 430 - estamos movendo para o Tier VIII e Tier IX os tanques presentes atualmente no Tier IX e X. Vale citar que estaremos removendo o atual Tier VIII (Object 416) e adicionando um novo tanque ao topo da linha - o Object 430U. Haverá algumas mudanças ao Tier VII A-44.

Mais detalhes abaixo:
  A-44   Object 430 Versão II   Object 430   Object 430U   Nós estamos tentando sincronizar o estilo de jogo de todos os veículos nesta árvore, e alguns melhorar alguns dos tanques mais fracos desta ramificação. O principal objetivo destas mudanças é formar uma ramificação de tanques médios com uma boa blindagem frontal, alta mobilidade, silhueta baixa e dano alpha maior que os demais tanques médios. É por isso que planejamos nos livrar do Object 416 - o veículo não se encaixa perfeitamente com os outros tanques deste ramo.

O Object 430 e o Object 430 Versão II serão movidos para o Tier IX e Tier VIII e ambos veículos receberão um novo canhão de 122mm!

Nota: As mudanças mencionadas acima não são definitivas e estão sujeitas a mudanças após o teste.

MA77: Grandes mudanças serão realizadas na ramificação menos utilizada de caça-tanques soviéticos. Ao menos, em nosso Supertest!

Como ficará: Tier X: Object 268 Versão 4 Tier IX: Object 263 (Com a mesma blindagem) Tier VIII: SU-122-54 Tier VII: SU-101 (O canhão M62-C2 será removido por ser muito forte para o tier VII)   A SU-100M1 será removida do jogo   SU-101   SU-122-54   OBJ 263   O Tier X será um veículo completamente novo com o canhão montado na parte traseira. Este veículo tem excelente blindagem frontal no chassi, alto dano alpha e um excelente valor de penetração. O ângulo de movimentação transversal do canhão permite que este tanque seja capaz de "tancar", tendo 24 graus no total, sendo 12 graus para a esquerda e 12 para a direita.   Desvantagens existem e uma delas é seu gun handling que é ideal para combates a média distância - isso dificultará ser efetivo disparando a 400m. Adicionalmente, seu DPM é menor que a média dos demais caça-tanques para compensar sua qualidade na alta penetração e dano alpha. A mobilidade deste veículo é justa - razoavelmente rápido em linha reta, mas lento ao girar. Como resultado nós temos um veículo de suporte, que é ideal para jogar em grupo, difícil de ser penetrado e também pode se proteger tal como proteger seus aliados com sua blindagem.

The_Chieftain:   You will be using your SEA account on the Aussie server. If you don't have a SEA account, you can transfer your NA account over (it'll be copy/pasted) and that will become a SEA account (Well, we call it APAC now) instead of an NA account, which will be basically deleted. If you have both, I guess you can have your NA account overwrite your SEA account, so you can have a mirror of your NA account, but I don't believe it will be possible to merge.

The_Chieftain:   This. I was one of the few people in the NA office to come from a 'critical component' gaming background, most everyone else came from games where 'critical hits' meant extra damage points. I came from historical wargames like Harpoon where you can do a half-dozen critical hits with one impact, and do not a single hitpoint of damage,, whilst the rest of the staff played some silliness like "League of Legends" or "World of Orky Things". Wargaming.net's background was in playing historical-type wargames, so you can see where the philosophy comes from.   Took a few weeks before I realised the rest of the office had a different interpretation of the term, and we had to actually explain each others' perspectives on things.

The_Chieftain: Chap in the office put me onto Heliborne earlier this week. Problem is I still haven't finished Steel Division (I still don't like it at all, but I paid money for it, so I may as well finish the campaign. On the last one now), and I'm taking a good look at Cold Waters. Unsure if I want it, though.

CabbageMechanic: Next up for Supertest: big changes to the lesser-used Soviet TD Branch. Details: Object 263 moves to Tier IX (with the same armor), SU-122-54 moves to Tier VIII, SU-101 – to Tier VII (we’ll take away its M62-C2 as it’s too powerful for Tier VII), and SU-101M1 will be removed altogether.


At Tier X there will be a completely new vehicle with a rear-positioned gun - the Object 268 Version 4. This vehicle has excellent front armor, with high alpha-damage and excellent armor penetration. Gun traverse angles allow this tank to “tank” , the Variant has 24 degrees of aim, 12 per each side. Disadvantages: Gun handling is ideal for middle range/brawling – it will be difficult to fire effectively at 400 m.  In addition, the DPM is below average to compensate for its quality alpha and pen.  The mobility of the vehicle is fair - reasonably quick in a straight line but slow to turn.  So as a result we have a fire support vehicle, intended for group play, which hits hard and then protects itself and its allies with its armor. 
 Note: the characteristics and changes are not final and are subject to change by the results of upcoming super tests. Stay tuned and we’ll share more info!

CabbageMechanic: Hi everyone, This morning you may have received an email with a link to the NA transfer site. But as some of our more savvy members would have noticed, the website isn’t active yet. Unfortunately we jumped the gun and it was missing some key information, such as the fact that the transfer website will not be live until Oct 26 at 9pm AEDT (Sydney)/ 3am PDT (California)/6am EST (New York). It will remain open until Nov 6 at 9pm AEDT (Sydney)/ 3am PDT (California)/6am EST (New York). We apologise for any confusion this may have caused, please check back at the time above to complete your transfer. Now, to the concerns around how account transfers work and any possible ‘merge’ of multiple accounts. While we acknowledge there has been some confusion around wording originally sent in relation to possible ‘account merges’, at this stage it is not possible for us to merge NA accounts with Asia accounts due to current technology constraints. If you register your NA account to be transferred to the Asia server, it will not be merged with your Asia account. In order to get your NA account transferred over to the Asia server, you will need separate email addresses for each account. If your Asia and NA accounts are currently on different email addresses, you should be fine to go. If they use the same email address you will need to create a new email address for the NA account to link to. Our system will not allow you to link two accounts to one email address. Once the website is active and you are logged in with your current NA account, you enter the desired email address for the account to be linked to. We understand some of you strongly wish to merge accounts and while we can’t currently offer that, we are actively looking into how to make it possible. However please note there is currently no available timeframe for when this might be completed. The final looming question is what will be transferred over and will any profile data be lost during that process. The good news here is that everything in your NA account will be copied over as it was to your new Asia account. Premium tanks, crew XP, player XP, premium time – the lot.
