Brynd: I am a great fan of some images posted to forum threads. But
I need to make it clear to you though that the atmosphere in our
office right now is so totally opposite to this image. None of this
is fun, nobody has champagne. We're all massive games fans and some
of us have been for more than a couple of decades. We quite frankly
feel awful and when we say we are sorry, we really are.

still 9 pages late and doesn't offer any reimbursement to those who
shifted their weekend plans around based on grinding the mission.
Some people will of gone to great lengths, both in game and
outside of the game to ensure they could make the most of this.
Many players wouldn't have started the IS-6 mission if they had
known this 2x wouldn't apply to it.
Link on message: #6756669

Dakiras: I understand that many have changed their plans to
accommodate the event, and our apology is definitely not going to
fix that. It's heartbreaking to know that so many dedicated players
will be negatively affected by this error, but right now all we can
do is raise our hands and own up to that.

Link on message: #6756623
Brynd: I've
posted over in Special: 2013 Retroactive thread already, but it
should be said here too. We stated that the special would work
in conjunction with the IS-6 mission and of course this turned out
to be quite wrong. While we have been working hard to avoid
this kind of mistake, as you can see we still have some way to go
to improve our communication with you. We will continue to work on
this though. We think this kind of mistake is totally not
acceptable and we strongly believe you deserve better than this. We
are very sorry for misleading you.

Link on message: #6756382
Dakiras: Yes we made a mistake, and for that an apology - though a fairly
inadequate recompense - is in order: Sorry. I see some
demands for truth, but actually the only truth is that we announced
something incorrectly. It wasn't intentional as many are claiming
it to be. It was a genuine, and rather impacting error.
Again, apologies.

Brynd: It's not easy to be the one to come along and say "we screwed up"
but here I am, and I'm going to say exactly that. We
communicated how it seemed the special would work in conjunction
with the IS-6 mission and as you've seen, what we said was
essentially quite wrong. Though we've gone back and edited
articles, of course this doesn't help in any way to alleviate the
situation for those who planned to take advantage of this.
We're truly very sorry that we did this.

better damage compared to what? Themselves rolling a second account
with the same tank? What did you compare their stats to?
Link on message: #6755966

LiannaSilverwind: I'm collecting data for long time as I'm quite fond of
statistics. They also help me understand current WG ideas and how
well does real conspiracy work. You take data for player A in T-54
before T-62A and Serbogold ammo, count down frags per battle and
average kills ratio. Then you compare data for the same player A in
T-54 in present time. You find out that his damage and frags ratio
go down. I've checked only players with highly above average stats.
This works for tier 9 tanks I've compared data for, ie. T-54 and
Patton (ignoring old Pershing).

LiannaSilverwind: For sure it is. Old times tier 9 mediums/TDs had
better stats than current tier 9 mediums/TDs as old-timers were
implemented as nearly equal to tiers 10 heavies. Checking stats of
old times unicums I've noticed that their "old time" tiers 9
have much better damage than the same versions in presence.

Vlevs, on 20 December 2013 - 12:04 PM, said: No denying that. One estimate I've seen is that IS-7
would've cost about five times as much as T-54 had it been taken
into production. In my previous post I contested that it would've
been obsolete in few years as TheFuzzyOne said. Just saying the
cost would've actually bought something useful - not more useful
than five T-54s, but still. Arguably, transporting and supplying
five compact MBTs is more demanding than one big heavy tank.
I don't see IS-7 as a folly on the level of Maus. Size-wise it's
quite comparable to Conqueror, which is big not cripplingly big,
never having heard it was a pain to get around in Western Europe. I
don't know much about 1950s infrastructure in East vs West Europe,
but I can suppose Red Army had a reason when they decided that
they're not interested in a tank of over 50 tons. This would imply
that Conqueror and M103 would've been a liability had NATO ever
decided to push into WP.
Link on message: #6754938

Hunter1911: I think the main reasons of IS-7 never going into
mass-production were its cost, the relative heaviness and thus
problematic with Soviet terrain and infrastructure, and the fact
that for the same amount of money, you could get a more numerous
amount of other tanks, in this case T-55 - which went down the wind
with old Soviet WWII doctrine of numbers and mass-production being
a key factor for the victory. Mass-production of IS-7 would
be far more difficult.

Locust and Super Persh for USA, T127 and IS6 for USSR. I've
been thinking about the JT8.8 for a while for ze Germans, though.I
already have the Mini Maus and DickerMax. I really enjoy all the
German TDs, just played JPII until I unlocked the JagdTiger, now
sold it and swapped the crew over to the Ferdy because I wanted to
see how the two compared. I will eventually buy the Tier IX
JagdTiger and the DMax is handy for crew training in the
meantime. But the DMax is a bit slow and situational.
It's pick a flank / spot and pray you don't get flanked really
because you're a sitting duck. Is the JT8.8 any better in this
regard? Thing is I've not got a French premium yet and I
hear good things about the FCM 50t. God knows my AMX 50 100 crew
could do with some training top up. As well as liking TDs, I
love medium tanks and I hear the FCM plays like a medium? Is it
like the AMXs, paper amour, stronk gun? Just please don't tell me
it's a heavy / medium hybrid like the IS-8! Which would
you buy?
Link on message: #6754515

Hunter1911: For the bolder part. The Jagdtiger 88 is quite similar to
the Dicker Max in that field. It is not really fast, so you have to
be quite careful which flank and position you pick, as relocation
takes quite a while. The armour is the same as standard Jagdtiger,
with difference being the 88mm gun used on this variant. Reload is
insanely fast and the shells are cheap, which makes for good DPM
and nice earning. If you are used to German TD's, you will do well
with the JTiger. Then again, if you wish a change of
vehicle, FCM may not be a bad idea.

Which would
you buy?

TheKroo: For the bolder part.
Subject: So... JT 8.8 or FCM 50t?

Locust and Super Persh for USA, T127 and IS6 for USSR. I've

Hunter1911: Try doing an integrity check. It will check if your game has any
corruptions. Please create new shortcut for wot launcher.
Add -integrity in target as "D:\Games\World_Of_Tanks\WOTLauncher.exe" -integrity
To explain what a mod is: it is a
modification of the game. But as you have stated not to use them,
no need to worry about that.
