9.20 Supertest of Rebalanced Vehicles: French tanks

dance210: Today we are sharing more information about the French tanks being
tested on the Super Test. First, we take a look at
the updated versions of Tier IX and X medium tanks - AMX
30 1er prototype and AMX 30 B.
These vehicles are similar to the German tier X Leopard in terms of the gameplay - snipers firing from the maximum distance. The differences in characteristics are minor and in fact the vehicles are very similar. The announced changes should separate the game roles of the tanks: French mediums will no longer be long-range snipers and will function as a medium distance support tank.
Characteristics updates will be similar for both vehicles. We plan to revise the following characteristics:Turret armor. We will significantly increase the front armor of these vehicles. The fixes are aimed at increasing the survival rate of these vehicles. Due to the decreased distance in battles it’s necessary to strengthen turret armor in order to keep the survival rate of the vehicle at the same level. However, we should understand that the tank won’t turn into an invulnerable monster firing from behind the hills. Adjustments of gun fire parameters. Fire parameters of AMXs will be rebalanced, adding more stabilization and damage per minute to the gun so that the tanks could battle more effectively at a medium distance moving around the battlefield. But we will decrease fire effectiveness at a long distance with a standard shell penetration of 247 mm, and gun accuracy of 0.34.
Next, we will share some
information about the French tank destroyers at tiers VIII, IX and
X.
The purpose of these changes is updating vehicles for the current conditions of Random battles. The changes will affect their firepower, mobility and armor. The most important – on the Super test the vehicles will have 120-mm gun with a magazine loading system. TDs of Tier VIII and IX will have magazines, and Tier X will get a top gun instead of the 155-mm one it had before. Increased side armor. Armor thickness will be increased in order to increase vehicles protection. Three caliber rule will no longer be so ultimative for the French TD. Mobility. The mobility of the top vehicle will be taken as a basis and will be transferred to TD of Tier VIII and IX with corresponding adjustments.

of changing the role of the Medium tank Bat.-Châtillon 25
t.
The purpose of these changes is to better distinguish between magazine heavy tanks and Batchat. The gun changes will increase the comfort of firing due to better aiming parameters, but will significantly decrease the chances of destroying same-tier medium tanks with one magazine. We intend to make the vehicle more comfortable, allowing more mistakes when firing – missing one shell out of six will be less fatal than missing it with the previous magazine. Moreover, the reloading time of shells in the magazine and of the magazine in general will be decreased, which will give players the opportunity to effectively realize the fire potential of the tank.
Improved accuracy and aiming time will not only increase the quality of firing, but will potentially influence on vehicle’s survival rate, as the time required for a shot will be decreased and the tank will correspondingly be less under their opponent’s fire.
Bat.-Châtillon 25 t. has also been transferred into the HD-quality.
