pretty disappointed by this tournament. The top 16 were pretty much
determined the first day of group. That is fine, but why make a
four day tourney just to see where in the top 16 the teams going
for gold will go in ranking? This tourney could of been done in two
days. 1st day, top 16. Second day, Play offs. Boosts are not real
prizes, they help to earn back some of the credits ppl spend to
participate in this tourney so that is helpful- except that the
longer it drags on so that only the top 94% will actually get a
prize the more it actually costs for people to participate.
Everyone else gets a Bill and here, this may help you earn back
some of what you spent on this tourney "prize". It would of been
helpful for teams going in to know, hey- you do not have a shot at
the gold unless you win All your matches the first day. Otherwise
it isn't really worth playing after. I guess my disappointment
comes in that this was sort of advertised as THE tournament of the
month. It was suppose to go on over several days. But practicality
wise- this is a two day tourney. Not some big event. Good luck to
the teams who actually plan to show up tonight to lose some more
credits, and to those top 94% WRers- all your "prizes" are well
earned.

First off, if you've lost more than 2 battles up to this point, you're chances of getting into the playoffs are slim. Next: These credit boosts are nothing more than a participation prize that come with a door to hit you on the way out. Essentially, for the teams & players not entering the playoffs, here is a message WG is giving you: "You spent credits on this tourney, now here's a little something to incent you to play more and work to make up for your loss of credits." If that is not a slap in the face.... I would surely think that at least some credits, consumables and/or premium time could've been thrown into the mix of prizes... and yes, I'm aware that we make XP and credits during these tournies. Sometimes, it's just enough to break even. But if you're constatly firing premium rounds (as most teams should), its not hard to rack up a big re-supply bill after battles. I'm sure there are many dedicated tourney teams and clans still participating to try to keep these alive thinking they might have some hope (hopefully not a false hope) that they will improve come August. Please do not disappoint, or we may just disappear. and finally... Should my team face off against WG (unlikely, but could happen)... we might have a little surprise in store. ~ my 2 cents

dance210: Hiya guys, Thanks for the feedback. I know that gold
is king; unfortunately, with the budget that we now need to follow,
I'm limited on how much and what I can give out. That makes credits
and Premium time not really doable. As a question for everyone,
would consumables be better than personal reserves (if I could
manage them). Are certain reserve(s) more enticing than others?
As for the format....I'm trying to re-work it slightly for
the August tournament. One of the big things is getting more teams
into the Playoffs. No, it won't be Skirmish level playoffs or
prizing, but hopefully this way more teams will a) feel like there
is a reason to play multiple group stage days, b) play for longer
and c) earn more worthwhile prizes. I'm still working through
how to stretch what I have so more teams get something kinda
worthwhile, so those details aren't ready yet. Now,
onto other news. Thanks to NVIDIA we have some video cards for the
TBA prize! There are restrictions on the prize (e.g. where the
prize can be shipped to) and those rules will be posted soon. Good
luck guys!
