Giovanni_Sanchez, on Mar 06 2015 - 01:37, said: I feel like a fool. I was invited to play in the tournament,
but can easily see that I am NOT qualified to be on the same map as
the rest of you. I haven't a prayer of keeping up and will
drag any team down that I am assigned to. I would bow out
except that I would then leave some team one player short, right?
What are my options here. I don't want to be the cause
of a good team losing fast due to my lacking of skills. (Less
than 1000 battles, by quite a bit. Never used "Gold" or have
ever had any.) I usually use a basic tier 2 arty (T57) and
although I have the hang of it quite well, that may be useless
here. (Fastest arty I could find, OK for fun, but in a
tournament with the pros I see here......)
I Need a suggestion on what to do and SOON, as the tournament starts tomorrow. I will watch every moment I can, including skipping work, just in case.
Thanks.

dance210: Hi Giovanni_Sanchez! Congrats on signing up for the
tournament! First, take a breathe! This tournament was intended for
players from all levels - and this discussion was set up for those
who may be new to the tournament scene. As you can see, not
everyone likes the same tanks. As a player who has been involved in
many tournaments, Beerstein was nice enough to give us his expert
opinion on the best tanks, to help newer players decide what to
bring. You don't need to bring one of the tanks recommended.
And, you don't need to worry that a good team will lose because of
you. This is designed so that hopefully you, and everyone else,
will learn something from your team and enjoy the competitive
format. You'll be paired up with players with more battles and more
experience. Go into the tournament this weekend looking to have
some fun, play some tanks, and maybe learn some new things. If you
go in with a positive attitude and enjoy yourself, then things
should work out. Good luck!
