DomoSapien: Generally our rentals aren't offered as a way to buy vehicles
outside of their general sale periods, mostly just to give you a
taste of a particular playstyle and get you hyped for the next time
that tank is offered for sale.
So with that in mind, the likely answer is no, you will not be able to purchase the vehicle when your rental expires. You can use the expired rental for extra crew storage, and purchase the tank in the future when it's offered for sale again, but the rental itself won't allow you to buy it when it's not on sale otherwise.
The "purchase" button exists because there is an option on the backend that allows us to set a purchase price for a tank rental, but historically that option has never been used (to my knowledge, anyway.)
