DomoSapien: I had a spell of 11 losses and 3 victories a few nights ago.
Sometimes it's just not in the cards 
Other times I get tilted and make more mistakes, or flat-out just don't care that I'm playing dumb because I want to try and make crazy goof-ball plays instead of being patient and playing passive.
There isn't one thing that's solely responsible for a streak of losses, I'd say it's a combination of factors, the totality of which is impossible for one player to account for.
TL;DR - sometimes the best thing to do is take a break for the evening and get back at it the next day.
