DomoSapien:   To piggyback off of Boop's reply:   If the super goofy Tanking 101 videos aren't quite your style (sounds like you already understand all that basic stuff), and you're looking for something a little more in-depth, we've got a few videos on our Youtube Channel that do a great job of explaining the finer points of some really important game mechanics. If you had to watch just one video, I would recommend our Explaining Mechanics video. First time I saw that video was a few years into playing WoT and I still ended up learning a bunch about how the spotting system works.
To quote one of our Community Contributors, 4TankersAndDog (who has a bunch of extremely informative scouting and light tank guides on his Youtube Channel that you should definitely go check out as well): "Try giving 'not getting shot at' a try. I guarantee you'll like it!" Seriously, there probably is no one single piece of critical information for WoT but this one's gotta be pretty up there. Armor and Hard Cover are great protection but they aren't reliable. Bush cover can also be unreliable if used incorrectly so it's important to get an in-depth understanding of how the visibility system works.     If you liked that video, check out the Penetration Mechanics video as well!

I don't really have the greatest winrate, my stats are average or very slightly above average, at best, but I think I'm pretty decent at the game when I'm not playing like a potato. I have my moments. Anyway, I do know a lot of really great players and a common piece of advice seems to be prioritizing your survival and your damage output over your victories. As a rule of thumb if you do at least your tank's HP in damage (preferably to vehicles of the same tier) and you're in the top 5 XP earners on your team, you carried your weight.

Platoon with uni's and watch youtube guides as well as streamers. We have a bunch of really great Community Contributors in the NA program that put out a lot of really great content. (They're also part of our Bonus Code Scavenger Hunt event so check that out too, if you'd like?) One of our CC's, Cody Menz, has a list of all our CC's up on his site, wotguru.com
