New Process for All Tournament Inquiries

Дата: 23.10.2018 19:18:43
DomoSapien: Tankers,
You may have noticed some changes in our Competitive Gaming teams recently. 1984BigBrother has joined us as the Competitive Gaming Manager. This is good news for you, and good news for me. As you all may know, JambiJon and I have been conducting most of the Tournament operations for WGA, starting about last June. Since then, we have seen tournament participation continue and continue to grow. We're quite proud of our community for stepping up and helping revitalize our competitive gaming scene via this overwhelming tournament participation. Seriously, you guys rock. However, with this growth there have been some growing pains. There are simply too many tournament inquiries for Jambijon and I to handle via private messages on the forums. With this in mind, Customer Support will be handling all tournament inquiries via support tickets starting on October 26th.
For Instructions on how to submit a ticket to our tournaments department in Customer Support, check out this handy guide that TheTrustedLlama wrote up. Tournament administrators will still be answering your tickets, but doing so via our ticketing system will allow us better tracking for inquiries that are on hold, in progress, resolved, etc. _____________________ This is also a good opportunity to mention something on a more personal note. I have been doing so gradually, but I should let everyone know that I am moving away from working primarily on Tournaments. (No, it has nothing to do with tournaments having technical issues lately, I'm not being forcibly removed from my position or anything like that.) I've been presented with some opportunities to work on some projects that allow me more room to utilize my creative skillset, and get experience in management and event planning: Over the last few months I have been getting involved in managing our Community Contributor program, and will be getting more involved with our CC's in the coming months. Additionally, I will be engaging more heavily in feedback reporting, as I've been playing this game for over 6 years and can definitely relate to the player perspective.
To clarify, I am not leaving the Community Team. But I'm no longer your go-to-guy for tournament inquiries. It's not you, it's me. Okay, it's also you a little bit :P there are just too many of you guys and I can't keep up with all your questions while carrying out the rest of my job functions! I'm not gone for good though. I'll periodically be checking up on tournament tickets and helping resolve your questions as my workload permits.
1984BigBrother is probably the most passionate WoT player I've ever seen. I've known him since he started when we were both in Customer Support, and I understand he's been making quite a stir in our competitive gaming scene already. Together with JambiJon, who has so valiantly been handling most of the logistics for building and running tournaments, I'm confident that you're all in good hands.
I'll still be around on the forums, and you'll still be able to catch me potato'ing up our Community Livestreams on the Wargaming Twitch Channel& World of Tanks NA Facebook page. So... y'know... don't send me angry PM's about tournaments anymore. I'll just tell you to submit a ticket <3 ;)
