DomoSapien: Before you throw in the towel, I always recommend trying the following steps to identify if the crashes are being caused by a potential software conflict with one of the processes your PC boots on startup.

1. Start Windows in Safe Mode with Networking enabled.
Instructions:
Windows 7
Windows 10
  2. Launch World of Tanks in Safe Mode   If it turns out that it'll run in Safe Mode, one of the applications you have booting on startup is causing a conflict. Open Task Manager, Make a note of all the processes that are running while you're in Safe Mode, then restart, and make a note of all the processes that run after you boot normally. Then you can selectively disable them one-by-one until you identify the source of the conflict.

Also consider using CPUTemp and GPUTemp or Furmark etc. to monitor the temperatures on your CPU and GPU.
