Some quick words on the subject: Gold was not offered for the contest, it was for 3 premium vehicles. Since he already owned all three vehicles, I offered him an alternative prize - his choice of premium vehicles from those that weren't CW rewards or otherwise restricted, a potential list of dozens of vehicles to choose from. Avalon happens to have an incredibly extensive tank collection, and was not satisfied with that alternative. He then pointed out the existence of an outdated KB article that indicated we would offer Gold compensation for certain events. In light of that, I informed him that I would update the KB article to reflect current policy (and did), but that I would honor it because we did indeed have it up on the site. Then I did.
I apologize if anyone feels mislead or scandalized by these actions, my intent at all stages was to reward players who won the contest appropriately.
