eekeeboo: It's VERY easy for those companies to get a hold of the "bank" of numbers. This is how you end up with calls on any new sim if it's old enough. But to be clear, no company, especially WG would risk breaking GDPR and has been legally checked, repeatedly by people who are responsible for this in law.
