It is not to rant, but from 2 posts about the "nerfed income" - you selected one, and assumed we are talking about test - that's why your answer was ... in WG.net terms - crit ;)
At least I was asking about impact of bigger amount of critical hits on lower income. And if you are going to fix that - either by changing the income from the hits you are rewarding now, or by rewarding critical hits.
Question was not about stelth direct nerf - but INDIRECT impact of other game mechanics on the profitability of mid tiers!
Increased number of critical hits - probably something with damage model. For example.

Overlord: Last major update was 6.0. Since then there were no major changes relating to general mechanics. Hitboxes overhaul couldn't affect profitability figures, stat-wise no significant change was detected.
So it looks like generalization and extrapolation of personal experience to a higher level.
