1) They require organization and time. More than random.
2) Companies are being ruled by clan teams who train or level there. They have pre-planned tactics, optimal tank setups. If you expect to win even tier 4 company fight with random group playing for fun, well, good luck.
3) If you lose, your enemy is being given bonus of 50 percent of your credits/xp for that battle. Not everyone is pleased to boost fellow player while losing.
I understand casual player unwillingness to join the company.
