ARGO: How many times have you been in a battle and admired the vehicle that just killed you? I have seen it 1,000 times, Players saying things like: "Those T-44s are amazing and overpowered, nothing can touch them, I am gonn get me one of those" Sound familiar? Then you work your butt off getting that tank only to find that yout still losing just as much as you did before and the only difference is that you now unhappy and out 90,000 exp and a boat load of creds....
So how come the tank looked like God when the other guy had it? Ever been there?
Well, theres an old proverb, The grass is always greener on the other side....
This thread has been created for the benifit of the newcomers to aid them in the decision making process. I would love to have all of those senior members to post about all the good and bad things regarding their tanks. Be honest and truthful in your replies so as to give people an idea of what they should expect when chasing the upper tier dream tank.....
Thank you.

I must admit, I didn't follow the thread about this patch over it's whole length, but when reading over them, the patch notes given here are sorely lacking the warp fix, does that mean it will not be included? /sadface

MrVic: That's a game engine upgrade in .6 we'll see it soon. That will be a large patch

How do you stop those dam T44's from driving round and round shooting the hell out of you :)

ARGO: Simple, travel in a pack, hide in a pack, when T-44 comes, form a wagonwheel "all TDs butt to butt" and no matter where he drives, he's dead. He can't get you all if you stick together...

'Pz.VI Panther' should be 'Pz.V Panther', or, more accurately, 'PzKpfw V Panther' - that is what it's called in the tech tree.
One could argue that 'Pz.VI Tiger' should also be 'PzKpfw VI Tiger', which is what it's called in the tech tree.
'Pz.VI Ausf. B Tiger II', if the Devs mean the King Tiger, that is called 'PzKpfw VIB Tiger B' everywhere else and for continuity reasons should be called that here as well. Unless they mean 'VK4502(P) Ausf. B', ofcourse - I couldn't place the Ausf. B, otherwise.

Overlord: That one will be fixed.

Locking this one now since its answered :) Also posting threads such as this are not a good way to inquire about these issues. If you feel something that is not a repeat or posted in the wrong area is locked and should not be. Feel free to send me a PM regarding it.

As they get fine tuned expect these problem players to be dealt with faster and more effectively. Remember sending in screenshot reports is always an added help to ensure improving our gaming community."
So what if its an accident? I have had several people actually >drive< in front of me while I had a shot lined up just show they could A: nerf my exp, B: Taddle on me for "shooting" them or C: Cause they are blind and don't look before they move. I mean whats the point in playing if people are gonna act like 6 year olds. So I ask what exactly do you mean by "cleaning the server"? Will it kick me if this accident happens? Or is it a "smart" TK System?
Boting is just stupid so an insta-ban for them would be awesome. :Smile-izmena:
Thanks for reading and hope for a nice reply.

MrVic: There is a few posts detailing them. Its a smart system :) As we go it will get fine tuned more and more. Also players can send in reports to help ensure we get the problematic folks :)

Why is the short 8,8cm gun so weak?
arrow

Subject: Archives\Beta\Questions\Why is the short 8,8cm gun so weak?
Link on message: #185098

MrVic: Tech side. The shorter barrel limits the ending velocity, due to less distance the round travels with the full pressure of the gas expansion behind it. Germany added a improved muzzle break in design but in the end it did not boost armor penetration force by much. Tho the HE componet of the AP shell remained pretty much the same. So the dmg is comparable

Not sure on te frame for that sadly. With the rapid work on .6 it's been hard to find where it stands. Hopefully find out more soon.

MrVic: Nah 5.5 delay is unfortunate but their improving sync up. A lot was involved with the delay. Much of it was dividers long ago. Regardless it should be corrected in the future.
To repose the .6x part it's a very short term test in preparation for main server patching. Mainly to avoid past problems where RU server was down die to past problems with patches

You Can Help Stop The Spread Of P.U.T.T.S

20.10.2010 18:54:53

Subject: Game Discussion\Newcomers' Forum\You Can Help Stop The Spread Of P.U.T.T.S
Link on message: #184782

ARGO: Yes P.U.T.T.S "Premature Upper Tank Tier Syndrome" is a disease that can strike any WoT player but usually hits the newcomers mostly, P.U.T.T.S is caused by the players mad rush through the tank tiers to get to a upper tier tank only to find that he/she cannot afford to run it or has learned the needed skills through the lower tanks to handle it. Yes it's sad to see when the stricken player becomes so upset because they did not take the time to learn the lower tiers and appreciate how the tanks work then they fly right up to a superheavy and get owned badly because they thought that upper tier means "invincible". P.U.T.T.S is the first stage of this which can eventually lead to greifing and then TKing. You can tell if someone has P.U.T.T.S because they have a bloated attitude and ego thinking that they are General Patton himself barking orders all over the battlefield and rushing repeatedly headlong into certain death then sit in their now burning hulks blaming all the other players for their loss. Luckly there is hope for these arm chair Generals.
How do you cure P.U.T.T.S?
Simple, Take time to learn about each tank on your path up the tree, Get knowledge from senior players and ask for help. Practice good sportsmanship and be helpful to your team mates. Communicate to your arty and other teams to see what the basic plan is. Never run away and leave your team mates to get mauled or sit there and watch. In short, Work smarter not harder.
Remember the 3 basic rules: We plan together, We fight together, We win or die together.
After all, No one likes to play with someone who acts like a putts......
