The_Chieftain:   In a word, no. The fictional legal person, corporate personhood, is common throughout the world, and has been for quite a long time, no matter what route it took to get there in the US. Sometimes it's quite explicit and not just standard legal doctrine. Witness, for example, the German Basic Law. "Fundamental rights shall also apply to domestic artificial persons insofar as the nature of such rights shall permit." (Article 19). Given that Article 6 is 'freedom of expression', the logical and very clear conclusion is that a company in Germany has the right to free speech.
